On 23 January 2024, in Ka Nyin Kyoe village (Kyauktaga township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military IB-264 fired heavy weapons around 7:30 pm and five of the rounds landed in the village. A 65-year-old man was killed, and a 66-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy were injured. Two houses were destroyed and three cows were also killed.
