Around 24 January 2024 (as reported), in Hpapun township (Hpapun district, Kayin state), the KNLA attacked about 300 military soldiers that fled from Saw Hta, Gaw Daw Ko, Htee Htaw Pei and Kaw Wai Kyoe villages (coded separately) with mines. The mine attacks occurred twice, once near Si Khe De village and the second time between Maw Hpar De and Kawt Soe Kho villages. The KNLA also seized over 20 guns belonging to the military. Casualties unknown.
