On 20 January 2024, the air component of Operation Whirl Stroke conducted an airstrike that was targeted at a Kaduna militia led by Janari at Gadar Katako in Igabi LGA (Kaduna). The militia was massing up in the area before the airstrike, the leader and an unspecified number of others were killed. Unknown fatalities coded as 10 in addition to the militia leader.
