On 22 January 2024, in Kun Du village (Ye township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), the military from LIB-343 base in Ahr Yu Taung village and IB-106 base in Mawt Ka Nin village fired artillery rounds and some of the rounds landed in the village. Radio Free Asia reported that a 12-year-old girl and a 40-year-old woman were injured and Independent Mon News Agency reported that three travelers were injured.
