On 22 January 2024, in Nawng Htaw area (coded as Nawng Htaw Ywar Thit) (Hsihseng township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), the military conducted airstrikes and fired artillery rounds on the area at around 8 pm, hitting and destroying some houses. Network Media reported that two IDPs from Ka Yan Paing Yat and Ku Lar Lan villages were killed and at least 5 houses were destroyed during the military airstrikes and shelling on the area on two consecutive days (22 - 23 January). Fatalities split across two days and coded as 1 in this event.
