On 8 December 2023, an armed man (an armed security guard of Ethio-telecom Bure branch) threw a bomb (likely a grenade due to it being thrown by an individual with no electronic detonation) at Prosperity Party cadres that were on meeting in Kebele 03 of Bure (Bure town, West Gojam, Amhara). Following this event, ENDF soldiers were deployed to the area and perpetrated a targeted attack against civilians (coded separately). Casualties unknown.
