On 8 December 2023, in Kutkai town (Kutkai township, Muse district, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military stationed in Thar Yar Kone and Zedi Kone fired heavy weapons indiscriminately, fell into the the 1st and 2nd ward and injured a 50-year-old man at his stomach and injured another man behind the ear. A house in the 1st ward was also damaged.
