On 10 January 2024, near Nyaung Pin Kwin village of Tanintharyi township (Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), two female civilians aged 30 and 50 were injured by a landmine explosion near Nyaung Pin Kwin No.561 Myanmar military base-camp. The mines were planted by the Myanmar military troops. The two victims were taken to Myeik hospital.
