On 8 January 2024, in Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Black Falcon Urban Guerrilla Force, the Democratic Guerrilla Force - Lower Chindwin, the Monywa District PDF (battalion 7 - company 3), and the Democratic Local Coalition attacked about 40 Myanmar military troops with mines as the military troops were transporting rations to a police station in Nyaung Hpyu Pin village. Four military troops sustained injuries.
