On 12 January 2024, near Let Pan village of Kyauktaw township (Kyauktaw district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military forces launched airstrikes on a betel farm located near the village at around 10:30 pm. They killed a 60-year-old female civilian and injured a 62-year-old man and a 5-year-old child.
