On 13 January 2024, Turkish army warplanes carried out airstrikes against PKK forces in Siye area (Kurdish name) in Gare region (Chiya-e Gara) of Duhok. Turkish ministry of defense also announced 29 PKK positions were targeted and a total of 36 PKK militants were killed or injured during the airstrikes they carried out in Metina and Gara (Chiya-e Gara) regions in Duhok and Hakurk (Wadi Khakurik) and Kandil (Silsilat Jibal Qandil) regions in Erbil on the same day. One event for each location (total 4 events) coded. HPG claimed there were no casualties.
