On 17 January 2024, in Myingyan township (Myingyan district, Mandalay region), the Red Dragon Guerrilla Force - Myingyan carried out mine attacks against two military reinforcement vehicles carrying about 30 military troops and Pyu Saw Htee members as there were heading towards Hpaung Kyin village where military forces and a combined force of the Natogyi People's Defense Force and the Natogyi PDF (PaKaPha) were fighting at around 11 am. One of the vehicles was hit by mines, and seven military troops and three Pyu Saw Htee members were killed. The group then seized the vehicle, a drone, and five bullets. Separately, the Red Dragon Guerrilla Force - Myingyan carried out another mine attack on a Myanmar military vehicle carrying the injured soldiers from the armed clash happened near the Hpaung Kyin village. Total fatalities coded as 10.
