On 27 July 2020, early in the morning, a homemade device comprising gas canisters exploded outside an apartment building in Alimos in Athens-South Athens targeting the building where the president of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce resides. The explosion caused damages, but no injuries were reported. On 13 August, the 'Anarchist Groups of Internationalist Solidarity' claimed responsibility expressing their solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement.
