On 11 January 2024, in Thone Se village (coded as Thone Se Zay Kone) (Nawnghkio township, Kyaukme district, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes and fired artillery rounds into the village at around 1:45 pm. According to the RFA and the Shwe Phee Myay News Agency, three family members, including a 13-year-old child, were killed by artillery shells. Meanwhile, the VOA and Khit Thit Media reported that a civilian was killed. Fatalities coded as 1 using the lowest estimates.
