On 13 October 2023, near Htan Kone village (Tigyaing township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with a fighter jet and dropped eight bombs on assumed PDF positions at around 12 pm to clear the way to escape from the village they were trapped in. The Myanmar military stationed at a monastery and fired artillery shells toward surrounding area. Casualties unknown.
