On 13 October 2023, between Lel Taung Yar and Ta Moke Chone villages (coded as Lel Taung Yar) (Tanintharyi township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), a mine planted by an unidentified armed group exploded on a highway bus and destroyed the bus windows. There were no casualties.
