On 22 July 2023, in Dawei town (Dawei township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), a combined force of the Launglon PDF and the Special Guerrilla Force fired seven rounds of 81mm mortar towards the ministers' housing compound of Tanintharyi Region government at around 11 pm. Pro-military channels reported that the attack hit near the house of the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of Security and Border Affairs. This was the third attack on the Minister housing complex. The previous attacks on 31 May and 16 July were claimed by Launglon PDF. No group has claimed responsibility this time. Casualties unknown.
