On 8 September 2023, Tareq Saleh forces (coded as Guardians of the Republic under WCJF) shelled villages with heavy and medium weapons around Jabal as Sibarah (Al Waziiyah, Taizz). Casualties unknown. Sources claimed that the shelling came after residents and former military leaders demanded the forces to leave the district.
