Over the past 24 hours, 73 combat engagements were reported along the Ukrainian frontlines between Ukraines Defense Forces and Russian invasion troops. Thats according to the General Staff of Ukraines Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports. "Over the past 24 hours, 73 combat clashes were reported. In total, the enemy launched four missile attacks and 48 airstrikes, as well as 36 rocket salvos, on the positions of our troops and at populated areas. Unfortunately, as a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among the civilian population. A number of residential buildings and other civil infrastructure was either damaged or destroyed," the report said. Airstrikes targeted the following settlements: Vilcha, Vilkhuvatka, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Podoly, and Lozova of Kharkiv region; Serebryanske Forestry in Luhansk region; Terny, Avdiivka, and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region. More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under Russian artillery fire. In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the operational situation remained without significant changes. On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas close to the Ukrainian border, running subversive missions to prevent Ukraines command from redeploying part of the defense forces to other sectors of the front. In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks in the Sinkivka area of Kharkiv region. In the Lyman direction, Ukraine repelled six Russian assaults east of Terny and Vesele, Donetsk region. In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled an enemy attack near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy force, which pursues its attempts to besiege the town. Ukraine is on a firm defensive, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. During the past day, the defense forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, and Severne, and another 15 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region. In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Marinka and Novomykhailivka districts of Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled. The Russians undertook no offensive (assault) efforts in the Shakhtarske direction. On the Zaporizhzhia axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove. In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are on a mission to expand the existing bridgehead. Despite significant losses, the invaders do not stop trying to knock Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the enemy launched 11 assaults, all of which have failed. "During the day, Ukraines Air Force hit seven enemy manpower clusters. Also, air defense units destroyed a Kh-59 guided air missile. Missile forces engaged three enemy manpower and weapons clusters, a control point , two ammunition depots, and an e-warfare system," the General Staff of the Armed Forces concluded. As reported earlier, since February 24, 2022, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have eliminated 366,790 Russian invaders.
