On 12 August 2020, PKK militants carried out a remote explosive attack targeting a Turkish army vehicle on the road between Heset area (Kurdish name) and Pervari town in Pervari district of Siirt. Source reported that the vehicle was completely destroyed in the attack, killing 10 soldiers inside.
