On 23 August 2020, the Saudi-led coalition reportedly conducted three airstrikes against Houthi forces on the Jabal al Lawd (Al Hazm, Al Jawf), three in the area of Bani Jias (Khabb wa ash Shaaf, Al Jawf) and two in Barq al Ashqar (Khabb wa ash Shaaf, Al Jawf), destroying vehicles and incurring fatalities.
