On December 24, suspected cadre of United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) identified as Pranjal Das, was shot and injured by Assam Police in the Salmara area at Baihata Chariali in Kamrup Rural District of Assam, reports India TodayNE.While the Police had not revealed much about the operation, a source said that the cadre was shot in leg while trying to attempt to flee from the Police.
