IED event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tank area, Pakistan on Fri 15th December 2023

Three Policemen, including a sub-inspector and three terrorists, including a suicide bomber were killed during a clash when terrorists tried to enter the District Police headquarter in Police Line area of Tank Town (Tank District) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the wee hours of December 15 (today), reports The Khorasan Diary. Two attackers were killed by Police while the third was cornered and blew-up himself. The causalities may increase as the search for more bodies and injured continues, according to the spokesman of Tank Police. An unexploded suicide jacket was recovered found. A new terrorist outfit, Ansar al-Jihad (AaJ) claimed responsibility for the attack. “We will soon release a video statement regarding the aims and objectives of our organisation,” the outfit said in a statement.
