10 hand grenades recovered from haystack in Jessore

Investigation underway
Police on Friday recovered 10 unexploded hand grenades from a haystack at a house near the Benapole border in Jessore.
Benapole port police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sumon Vokto said hand grenades were found near one Jahangir Molla's house in Britti Achra village.
Tipped off, Jessore Detective Branch (DB) of Police and Benapole Port police station conducted a joint operation and recovered the hand grenades.
Jahangir Molla, the owner of the house is absconding.
“It is believed that the hand grenades were stockpiled to destabilize the law and order situation in the country. Details will be known after further investigation.”
