On 30 December 2023, in Ta Khun Taing village near Nat Than Kwin town (Kyaukkyi township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes and dropped two bombs on the village 10:30 am and the military dropped three more bombs on the village at around 12 pm. A 30-year-old woman was killed, and her husband and three children sustained injuries. The military conducted airstrikes with three fighter jets around 3:20 pm.
