On 30 December 2023, in Tha Yet Cho village (Mrauk-U township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military troops who fled from the Myaung Bway police station after clashing with the Arakan Army (coded separately) raided the village and fired heavy weapons and small arms around 4 am. The military troops also abducted four locals from the village as human shields. Casualties unknown.
