On 31 December 2023, in Nat Than Kwin village (Kyaukkyi township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes, fired about three rounds of machine guns, and dropped two bombs on the village in the morning. Additionally, the military dropped 23 bombs on the village in the afternoon, damaging the Sein Pan monastery and a gas station. Casualties unknown.
