On 2 January 2024, in Mindat town of Mindat township (Mindat district, Chin state), the Myanmar military troops under Infantry Battalion - 274 fired three rounds of 120 mm heavy artillery shells in Taik Nei (4) at around 9 pm. The shelling destroyed three residential houses. There were no casualties.
