On 2 January 2024, in North Okkalapa township (Yangon-East district, Yangon region), a bomb explosion occurred at a rubbish bin located at the corner of Khe Mar Thy street and Mandar street in Ward-B at around 10 pm. No group claimed responsibility for the explosion. There were no casualties.
