On 2 August 2020, Israeli warplanes thwarted an attack by carrying out airstrikes targeting 4 gunmen who are seen in a footage planting at least one IED near the border strip between Israel and Syria at the occupied Golan Heights. Limited clashes suspected to have taken place. The 4 gunmen are believed to be affiliated to the Syrian Resistance of the Liberation of Golan.
