On 23 December 2023, in Laukkaing town of Laukkaing township (Kokang Self-Administered Zone, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military troops carried out airstrikes on Oh Lone Ton IDPs camp in Laukkaing town. The airstrikes killed three civilians and injured five others, including a child. Other sources,Khit Thit Media; Radio Free Asia, reported that the bombs landed on a place where IDPs were sheltering. An IDP was killed, and five others including a child sustained injuries. Fatalities coded as 1 using the lowest estimate.
