On 24 December 2023, in Tha Nat Kone village of Madaya township (Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops from Kywe Chan Kone village landed in Tha Nat Kone village at around 2 pm. The shelling killed a woman who was feeding a pig.
