On 24 December 2023, a truck drove over an IED and triggered the explosives around Damno village on the Dikwa-Gajibo Road, Dikwa LGA, coded to Dikwa (Dikwa, Borno). The explosive, suspected to have been planted by ISWAP/ Boko Haram, injured ten people and destroyed the truck. There are no fatalities.
