On 26 December 2023, in Shwe Htee Kone village (Paungbyin township, Mawlaik district, Sagaing region), the military conducted airstrikes by dropping over ten bombs at noon, hitting and destroying about 20 houses and markets. A 10-year-old child and three 30-year-old men were injured.
