On 28 December 2023, near Kun Taung village (Ponnagyun township, Sittwe district, Rakhine state), the military (LIB-344 and 232) base from Par Da Leik village conducted drone strikes and fired over ten artillery rounds and some of the air bombs and artillery rounds landed near the village. A 40-year-old man was injured in his right hand.
