On 29 December 2023, SAF airstrikes targeted RSF in Yara airstrip (targeting an Emirati weapons shipment) and Al Congo, Al Borsa, Domaya, Al Wadi, Al Mataar, Al Masanii, Al Mostakbal, Al Imam, Al Jir, Al Dirwa, Al Salam, Al Riyadh and Khartoum Beliel neighborhoods in Nyala (Nyala Janoub, South Darfur). 9-37 people were killed and 16-51 were injured.
