On 21 December 2023, in Aungmyaythazan township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region), a combined force of the Brave Warriors for Myanmar, the No More Dictatorship People's Defense Force, the Security & Special Task Force CDM People's Police, and the Pyinoolwin District PDF (PaKaPha) attacked the Central Regional Military Command situated within the compound of the Mandalay Palace with six rounds of 107mm improvised rocket launchers at around 2 am. The rockets hit the dormitories of the commander and the women soldiers. The group claimed that a military officer was killed.
