On 22 December 2023, on the intervening night of December 21-22, members of the CPI (Maoist) blew up a portion of railway tracks between Goilkera and Posoita railway stations (coded as Goilkera, West Singhbhum, Jharkhand). This comes as a part of a 'protest week' from December 16 and Bharat 'Bandh' (strike) on December 22 recent encounters with security force personnel. There were no casualties.
