On 22 December 2023, between Da None Myaung and Ban Kone villages of Sinbaungwe township (Thayet district, Magway region), joint forces of PDF - Magway District Battalion-2, PDF - Thayet District Battalion-1 and Battalion-5, PDF - Aung Lan (PaKaPha), and PDF - Sinbaungwe (PaKaPha) carried out a mine attack against four military convoy vehicles that carried about 80 military soldiers in four minefields along the Koe Pin - Tha Ga Ya road at around 9:30 pm. Fifteen military soldiers died and 7 others were injured. Two military vehicles were destroyed.
