On 9 December 2023, members of the Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) tossed a grenade into a grocery shop in Dotma town (Kokrajhar, Assam) because the owner failed to pay a demanded amount of Rs 5,00,000. The KLO further threatened to take actions if the owner fails to pay the money. The grenade did not go off and there are conflicting reports on whether the grenade was a live one or a fake one.
