On 11 December 2023, in Chipaque (Cundinamarca), unidentified assailants hurled three grenades at the El Boqueron toll booth in the Bogota-Villavicencio highway. Two toll employees were injured. The commander of the military forces attributed the attack to members of the Second Marquetalia dissident faction, arguing that the group has the intention of increasing its control over the center of the country. There were no fatalities.
