On 11 December 2023, Hezbollah forces fired at least eight rockets toward northern Israel, including Maalot (Akko, HaZafon). Six of the rockets were intercepted, while at least two landed in open areas. Fragment from an interceptor fell in Maalot. No injuries occurred.
