On 12 December 2023, near Ta Pu Taw village (Kyunhla township, Kanbalu district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched an airstrike in the south-east of the village using a fighter jet at around 12:30 am. On the same day, the military launched another airstrike in the east of the village at around 8:46 am. Casualties unknown.
