On 12 December 2023, near Thit Hla Taw village of Palaw township (Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), the People's Defense Force - Myeik District Battalion-1 launched two mine attacks against the Myanmar military's convoy vehicles at around 9 am. Some military troops sustained injuries, and one of the vehicles caught fire.
