On 12 December 2023, in Loikaw town of Loikaw township (Liokaw district, Kayah state), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops landed on the office building of Golden Loikaw social welfare organization at around 11 am. The shelling damaged the building and seven ambulance cars. There were no casualties.
