On 15 August 2020, a landmine, previously planted by an unidentified armed group, exploded in farmlands in the north-eastern countryside of Khan Shaykun in Idleb. The explosion occurred while a group of people, likely pro-regime's shabihas or people working for them, were picking pistachios in farms belonging to displaced civilians. 4 people were killed and 5 others were injured. 4 fatalities.
