On 13 December 2023, in Kyaukkyi township (Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military troops fired multiple rounds of 155mm heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops LIB-264 landed in four villages (Hpo Ta, Ah Hlaing, Chaung Wa, and Ywar Tha Yar). The shelling killed a local civilian and injured three others in Ah Hlaing village.
