On 15 December 2023, in Tigyaing township (Katha district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military troops carried out airstrikes using two Mi-35 against the All Burma Students' Democratic Front (ABSDF) near the Tigyaing town at around 10 am. The airstrikes lasted for an hour. The ABSDF claimed that the Myanmar military forces used chemical weapons. There were no casualties.
