On 15 December 2023, near Kun San village of Nattalin township (Thayarwady district, Bago-West region), joint forces of the Phoenix DF: Phoenix Defense Force (Nattalin) carried out a cluster mine attack against about 25 Myanmar military troops that came out from Tuang Nyo police station at around 7:44 am near the Kun San cemetery. The Phoenix Defense Force (Nattalin) carried out another mine attack against the Myanmar military troops near a teak wood farm at around 11:48 am. The mine attacks killed six military soldiers and injured several others.
