On 15 December 2023, a Ukrainian councilman from the Servant of the People party detonated three grenades at a village council meeting on the budget for 2024 in Keretsky, Zakarpattia, after other council members did not support his unspecified proposals. The perpetrator had previously accused the head of the village of corruption. The resulting explosion killed one civilian and injured 26 others.
